caolan any insights ? feel free of course to push back to the bug-list Fixed by commit 04e35708aaa625d180a5bb42591470508c40c522 . I think the fix is buggy, it makes numbering which are plain numbering an outline level one as well. I'll provide a different fix that doesn't have this nasty side-efect. Sha1 of the original fix in core.git is e3d5c3e0746916c4056389dd8c2daa6c451c8f6e Miklos Vajna committed a patch related to this issue. It has been pushed to "master": http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=74904ca6b083f16074e1c5b60729890fc972ad42 fdo#36868 WW8 import: allow outline numbering and list style in the same ... The patch should be included in the daily builds available at http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/ in the next 24-48 hours. Created attachment 46355 [details] document where paragraph numbering is used When I open attached .doc in Word 2000, paragraphs are numbered: 1, 2, 2.1, 2.2, 2.2.1. When I open it in LibreOffice 3.3.2, paragraphs are numbered: 1, 2, 1.1, 1.2, 1.2.1. Moreover, cross-reference "2.2" is incorrectly shown as "2". Screenshots attached too.
