I can no longer add a cross-reference, Not with the mouse nor with keystrokes. I get no error or reaction, just nothing happens. Worked fine with Beta3.

I cannot reproduce this problem. You can view "Field" dialog or the dialog doesn't open at all?

My mistake, the dialoge was on a separate screen, which was turned off.
