Into 3.4 Beta 5 I can see "PDF Import 1.0.5 Oracle"
@vitriol: Whit what OS? Did you have checked in LibO3.4Beta4? Does your PDF import work? How die you install (with uninstall of former version?) But your observation seems to confirm that there might be something irregular. (In reply to comment #2) > @vitriol: > Whit what OS? Win7 64 bit > Did you have checked in LibO3.4Beta4? There was not preinstalled extension in Beta 4, as far I remember... > Does your PDF import work? Yes, it works > How die you install (with uninstall of former version?) I have uninstalled Beta 4 before installing Beta 5, but I have not deleted the user profile I can confirm vitriol's observations more or less. I did a compete new install with 3.4beta5 after uninstallation of beta4 and deletion (rename) of my userprofile: Now I see Oracle PDF Import 1.0.5 in extensions manager. When I switch back to my renamed user profile I again see PDF import version 1.0.4. So may be a better description of the problem would be: "Manually installed PDF import extension prevents installer from installing current version from install package"? (In reply to comment #4) > So may be a better description of the problem would be: "Manually installed PDF > import extension prevents installer from installing current version from > install package"? Bundled extensions will install at system level (shared), manual installed extensions will normally install at user level instead. Maybe user prevail against system if you have both installation. It seems quite logical, ad permit a user to update an extension for his profile only. Thank you both for digging this down. |
