Screenshot of bug.

I use Linux Mint 10.

On the general LibreOffice screen (the splash-like screen that lists the six components of LibreOffice, and gives the option to open a file or template; also, list under "Applications" as merely "LibreOffice"), the mouse creates gray areas between the buttons. For example, when I move the mouse from Writer to Calc, a gray box forms between the two buttons, and does not go away. A similar box forms between the other boxes when my mouse moves across them, as well.

This bug was filed before the changes to Bugzilla on 2011-10-16. Thus it
started right out as NEW without ever being explicitly confirmed. The bug is
changed to state NEEDINFO for this reason. To move this bug from NEEDINFO back
to NEW please check if the bug still persists with the 3.5.0 beta1 or beta2 prereleases.
Details on how to test the 3.5.0 beta1 can be found at:

"Splashscreen" is fixed under LO 3.5.4.2 + 3.6.2.2 (Ubuntu).
