Description Ed 2011-06-01 08:15:47 UTC
Native menus on Windows 7 have a fixed-width column down the left hand side, where the icon is shown if available, separated from the rest of the menu by a vertical line. In LO 3.4RC2, this column is much narrower than it should be in a number of sub-menus and context menus.

This is particularly noticeable on the toolbar context menu, where this column is reduced to about the width of a letter "I".

In the File>New manu, for example, the icon is pressed right against the dividing line when there should be as much empty space between the icon and the line as there is between the icon and the LHS of the menu. In the document context menu the icons even overlap the dividing line.

RC2 is bit by bit identical with release version, so separate items in the version picker are useless. Changes have been discussed with Michael Meeks.

In LibreOffice 3.5.0 RC1 the issue is less grave.

It seams connected to icon width in left column of menu,
if icon is present, width is correct, if it is not or
there is check mark - width is shorter.

Is this bug still valid / reproducible with the latest pre-release 4.2.0.2: http://www.libreoffice.org/download/pre-releases/

Please also try resetting your user profile and let us know if that helps: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile

Should this be still reproducible for you with the latest LO release please set this bug back to NEW. Should this issue be solved set it to WORKSFORME.

Setting to NEEDINFO until more detail is provided.
