LibreOffice 3.4.0
OOO340m1 (Build:12)

Steps:
1. Launch Libre Office and open new Writer document.
2. Click on menu entries Edit > Find

What happens:
Nothing happens

Expected results:
The Find dialog box would open for the entry of a search text string.

Note: the same results are obtained if Step 2 above uses <CTRL>-F

Note: if Step 2 is replaced by Click on menu entries Edit > Find & Replace (or keystroke <CTRL><ALT>-F) then the Find & Replace dialog box opens.
Comment 1 tester8 2011-06-12 13:00:56 UTC
NOT reproduced with
Ubuntu 10.04.2 x86
LO 3.4
Comment 2 Rainer Bielefeld Retired 2011-06-12 23:21:44 UTC
NOT reproducible with "LibreOffice 3.4.0 – WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) German UI [OOO340m1 (Build:12)]"

So -> WFM also due to Comment 1

Reporter's observations might be result of
"Bug 36684 - UI: Menu 'View> Toolbars' relations to toolbars messed up"
"Bug 36571 - Find bar does not appear properly at top of screen"
I can't remember for what version the fix has been integrated.

@J William Cupp
Please check your version, Build:12 AFAIK is RC2!
Please feel free to reopen this bug if you find out that the problem still exists with the current stable LibreOffice version 3.4.0 (or later) and if you can contribute additional information due to <http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/BugReport> (especially BugReport Details)
