Description Joseph Sylvester 2011-06-17 02:39:27 UTC
When creating an address data source for Thunderbird using the Wizards->Address Data Source..., LO 3.3.3 does not permit field assignments mapping the Thunderbird address book fields to the address data source .odb. To reproduce this problem, from LO select Wizards->Address Data Source..., and select Thunderbird as the type of external address book. Click Next. Select primary address book table (if Thunderbird as more than one address book). Click Next. The program jumps to Data Source Title. There are no field assignments possible. The resulting database is basically correct, except there are no values for "First Name". Additional information: If one performs Wizards->Address Data Source...->Other external data source, and select Thunderbird address book for the database type the program does provide for field assignments. However, the "First Name" is not mapped at all (empty).

Hello,

I don't understand what happens when you said :
"The program jumps to Data Source Title. There are no field assignments
possible."

Generally, I have no problem when creating an addresses database with Thunderbird address book as data source. I work with LibO 3.4.1.

If I recall, in prior versions (LO 3.2), there used to be a step in creating the Thunderbird address data source for making field assignments. Maybe I am incorrect. I have no problem with the way it works now, or not having to make the filed assignments.

Hi Joseph,

What is your opinion: bug or no bug?
Comment 5 Joseph Sylvester 2012-07-26 19:58:13 UTC
I have abandoned Ubuntu. But this problem had cleared before I switched back to Windows.
