Test case

In presentations with animation effects, when effects involve at the same time both graphical objects and text objects, I get huge problems, with displayed elements getting corrupted during the presentation.

This working with graphics acceleration either ON or OFF.

To reproduce, open attached file and start the presentation

If your platform gives the same issues as mine, you should see colors and graphic elements disappearing right after the animation effects are played.

This makes it impossible to use animation effects at all.

Note that the top box is only half colored. Furthermore, the bottom box has lost all of its filling and a line is missing in the graph reproduced in it.

Note how the boxes in the bottom block diagram have no colors. There are missing lines too. In the top diagram, background colors only appear here and there.

Thanks for the detailed description of the problem Sergio. Tried reproducing this on LibreOffice3.4 340ml(Build:12) on KDE OpenSuse but it looks like there are no problems. Everything is intact: the color of the boxes, the lines on the graph. Perhaps the problem has been resolved in 3.4. Can anyone else confirm? Thanks.

Next week, I will test with 3.4, though. I will also try to test on a machine with some different graphics card and drivers stack.
In the meantime, I have tested running libreoffice on a remote machine via nxclient and I see the issue also in this case.

This is on kubuntu Natty (11.04) 64bit with intel graphics + updated intel video drivers (2.15, via the glasenhardt ppa) + xorg with page flipping disabled (it is broken on my hardware).

I wonder if there is someone who could test with a similar configuration (maybe without the little tweaks I had to apply to make X work).

Bug is still present in 3.4 and 3.4.1.
Still need to try on machines with a different graphics hardware.

[This is an automated message.]
This bug was filed before the changes to Bugzilla on 2011-10-16. Thus it
started right out as NEW without ever being explicitly confirmed. The bug is
changed to state NEEDINFO for this reason. To move this bug from NEEDINFO back
to NEW please check if the bug still persists with the 3.5.0 beta1 or beta2 prereleases.
Details on how to test the 3.5.0 beta1 can be found at:

Seems to be OK for me right now.

Do not know if progress depends on 3.5 beta 2 improvements or improvements on Linux graphics stack.

Please close. I will reopen if I have new issues and I can distillate a test case for them.
