I observed that with "LibreOffice 3.4.3 RC2 - WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) German UI [OOO340m1 (Build:302)]" during my investigations for "Bug 41016 - Incorrect alignment of values in an MS Excel file" with attached sample from that bug:

Steps to reproduce:
0. open that a.m. document from WIN explorer (does not matter how)
Expected: data labels above bars in charts as in MS EXCEL 2010, LibO 3.3.3
   Actual: no labels

Labels will be shown after double click on chart 'Click on data bar (data points appear) -> right click (context menu appears)-> Insert data labels

Visible with various 3.4 versions on 2 different PC.

Data labels visible when I open document with "LibreOffice Portable 3.3.3 - WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) German UI [OOO330m19 (Build:301 Tag 3.3.3.1)]", also with MX EXCEL Viewer and MS OFFICE 2010

Still a problem with Server installation of Master "LibO-dev 3.5.0 – WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) English UI [(Build ID: 81607ad-3dca5fd-da627d2)]"
