Hi Russ, Thanks for the report. Recently there was a discussion about the same on the users list. See subject " Calc row limits error " around 12-10-2011. (Cannot acces the archives right now - no idea why, but should be here: listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/users/ www.mail-archive.com/users@global.libreoffice.org/ - maybe to slow connection ) Suggestions are for possible errors in formatting. e.g. A missing quote for instance as in: > http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=43731 But then it is something that Calc refuses and koffice / gnumeric don't . So in any case interesting to examine. Could you pls have a look at that possibility? thanks, Cor (ping to myself - to receive mail notification for this issue - what was broken for some days) (In reply to comment #1) > Hi Russ, > > Thanks for the report. > > Recently there was a discussion about the same on the users list. > See subject " Calc row limits error " around 12-10-2011. > > (Cannot acces the archives right now - no idea why, but should be here: > listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/users/ > www.mail-archive.com/users@global.libreoffice.org/ > - maybe to slow connection ) > > > Suggestions are for possible errors in formatting. > e.g. > A missing quote for instance as in: > > http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=43731 > > But then it is something that Calc refuses and koffice / gnumeric don't . > So in any case interesting to examine. > > Could you pls have a look at that possibility? > thanks, > Cor Hi Cor: Sorry was so long getting back. Was out of town. I did the following: 1. Deleted all previous .cvs files. 2. From Sea Monkey I exported my Personal address book as a .cvs 3. Opened in Kspread 4. Say missing contacts were there. 5. saved a a .csv from kspread 6. Inported this version to Libreoffice Calc 7. Missing contacts are there. 8. Then inported into Kmail. Contacts came in but some of them had a comma in the zipcode field between the 98,837 should read 98837. This does not appear to be problem, it appears that field is formatted wrong in Kspread. When I imported it I got all the contacts, including ones kmail does'nt. will check on link you provided and post again, Thanks for your help. [This is an automated message.] This bug was filed before the changes to Bugzilla on 2011-10-16. Thus it started right out as NEW without ever being explicitly confirmed. The bug is changed to state NEEDINFO for this reason. To move this bug from NEEDINFO back to NEW please check if the bug still persists with the 3.5.0 beta1 or beta2 prereleases. Details on how to test the 3.5.0 beta1 can be found at: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/BugHunting_Session_3.5.0.-1 more detail on this bulk operation: http://nabble.documentfoundation.org/RFC-Operation-Spamzilla-tp3607474p3607474.html Looks like this is fixed on 3.5.0 so go ahead and close. A much more critical bug appears in .cvs. I will open new ticket. |
