I can confirm this behaviour.

I am using a samsung galaxy S2 and recently updated to 2.3.5

I do not recall having a problem opening polaris office documents prior to the update (on Android 2.3.3) But neither can I confirm that this is a causal factor, because at that time I was also using openoffice to open the files and not libreoffice.

So to confirm, I am using a recently installed version of libreoffice and cannot open documents created using polaris office on a samsung galaxy S2 - the writer program displays the splash graphic while attempting to open the document, and then vanishes (silently crashes).

If writer is opened and then the file is opened from the file menu, the program vanishes/silently crashes in the same way.

documents created with other common word processors are fine.

Google docs can open the polaris office documents fine, So i do not believe the document files themselves are corrupted (at least not fatally).

Can't reproduce anymore using LibreOffice 4.0.0 with Linux Mint 14 x64. Therefore I mark this bug as RESOLVED WORKSFORME (not FIXED, because we don't know which commit fixed this bug).

If this bug reappears or is still present in 4.0.0 or future releases, please feel free to REOPEN.

Kind regards,
Joren
