Description Steve 2011-12-05 15:23:24 UTC
I tried to create a new database with a new install of LibreOffice on a Windows 7 64 bit system. I installed using the defaults. I selected database from the general window. The database program stated. I selected create a new database.
and clicked Next. I did not change the defaults and clicked finish. The database naming window came up and I left it unchanged and clicked finish. The wizard and naming window closed and a new window opened. It was initially transparent and then turned black. It stayed that way for an hour. I closed the window manually and killed the process. The database file did seem to work after I reopened it. I tried this with both 3.3.4 and 3.4.4 final. It I did not wait long enough the database file was not usable. Sorry but I did not determine how long I needed to wait.

Thanks for bugreport
May be it is because problem with Java.

Please, verify if in last version of LibreOffice still reproducible
If problem still exist, try install fresh JRE.
