Description Robert Downing 2011-12-14 11:21:41 UTC
LibreOffice 3.4.4
OOO340m1 (Build:402)

Formatting of objects, masters, layouts & fonts are unpredictable, but almost always incorrect.

Masters are almost always corrupted. Masters are unable to be deleted (in case of multiple masters). Guide text (the text that shows examples of text characteristics, placement) is not overwritten from masters.

Slide layout for title:dual box renders asynchronous text sizes, does not render identical text characteristics equally between L & R boxes.

Embedding (copy & paste/paste special) of Libre Calc selection causes 100% CPU; hang in application; crash.

Drawing objects from original Microsoft PPT rendered incorrectly, or not at all, seemingly at random.

libreoffice-dbg (1:3.4.4-0ubuntu1) installed on KDE Platform Version 4.7.2 (4.7.2)

What is the status of this? Yes, I read the above comment: that is the point, the formatting appears to be more a case of guesswork than anything else; the masters are being corrupted!

Thanks for bugreport
> Text from underlying master pages still showing on slides
duplicate of this:
Bug 37311 - FILEOPEN pptx file appears unneeded text on slide

> the formatting appears to be more a case of guesswork than anything else
may be because in Impress font are slightly bigger than in PowerPoint and therefore layout of slides is corrupted.

Please, attach presentation with one or two slides that demonstrates problem

No feedback since months here. Without any example file, we can't try to reproduce the behaviour.
I put this tracker to RESOLVED/INVALID.

Robert: if you reproduce this with a newer LO version (3.5.7 or 3.6.2), don't hesitate to reopen this tracker + attach an example
