It works randomly. The user at the mailing list changed his profile and now ist works. But for example on my system it works not. I think it very depend on the system. Maybe it is NOTABUG, but it should be improved. Additionally tested (on WinXP 32b · UI: en-US (de-DE for LibO 3.3.4): LibO 3.3.4 release LibreOffice 3.3.4 · OOO330m19 (Build:401) · tag libreoffice-3.3.4.1 LibO 3.4.5 RC1 LibreOffice 3.4.5 · OOO340m1 (Build:501) LibO 3.5.0 Beta2 LOdev 3.5.0beta2 · Build ID: 8589e48-760cc4d-f39cf3d-1b2857e-60db978 All work fine for me. @Andreas G.: Yes, that could be improved, starting with two undocked windows (<F11>, <F5>) will be most troublesome. ;) Usually, I've docked <F11> on the left, and <F5> on the right. Then it should be easy to drag <F5> to the lower left part. Maybe that will work (for you): 1. Dock <F11> to the left; restart LibO 2. Dock <F5> to the right; restart LibO 3. Drag the right one to the lower left (or vice versa). OK this is a good idea. What's the new status? NOTABUG, RESOLVED, whatever? As far as I can see: The initial status should (always) be UNCONFIRMED. Now it's still NEW (but not really). ;) For me: RESOLVED NOTABUG (or INVALID). Have you successfully docked <F11> and <F5> in your desired way? Then I would also propose: RESOLVED NOTABUG (or INVALID). I've seen some troubles, when starting with two undocked windows (default user profile). So you might modify the bug to a request for enhancement, with a precise description of the problems, and how it should work [Modifying 'Importance': 'normal' to 'enhancement']. Maybe a developer will be motivated to improve the behaviour... Yes, it works when both windows are dockend before. I changed the status to RESOLVED NOTABUG. I changed the importance to MEDIUM ENCHANGEMENT. Sorry. The alternative(!) possibilities are: 1. RESOLVED NOTABUG (the next step would be: CLOSED NOTABUG) or 2. NEW ... enhancement (then a more precise description would be desired) ;) I've modified the bug in this sense (CLOSED and removed 'enhancement'). Feel free to reopen the bug as a request for enhancement, with a detailled description of the occurred problems and the desired improvements. You might have a look at: STATUS / RESOLUTION https://bugs.freedesktop.org/page.cgi?id=fields.html#status BugReport Details http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/BugReport_Details @manj_k Is ist OK, when you reopen this report? Because I can't write so detaillied in english (it is not my native language). ;-) |
