Description D. Glenn Arthur Jr. 2011-12-25 00:45:31 UTC
Problem description:

Cannot enter text in all lowercase when desired.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open brand new spreadsheet.
2. Type "opt. feat." into a cell.
3. Watch "opt. Feat." appear instead.
4. Hunt through Preferences to find "Check Capitalization" and _uncheck_ that.
5. Try again and watch unwanted capital-F show up again.

Current behavior:
Automagically capitalizes initial letters of some words in text cell depending on preceeding punctuation regardless of Preferences setting.

Expected behavior:
_Some_ way, reasonably intuitive & easy to find, to tell the program, "accept what I typed, because I _meant_ what I typed."

Platform (if different from the browser):

Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PowerPC Mac OS X 10_5_8; en-US) AppleWebKit/531.9+(KHTML, like Gecko, Safari/528.16) OmniWeb/v622.10.0

I can confirm this happens under LO 3.5.0 RC1

Un-checking the "Check capitalization" option is not respected. Not even after restarting LibreOffice.

Apparently I was checking this at the same time as someone that simply changed Status. This is NOT fixed under Windows so changing to REOPENED and changing platform from ALL to Windows.

This behavior is controlled with a 'Capitalize first letter of every sentence' option which works as expected.
