Provide the real document, and don't make testers write these scrabbles. Have you activated support for "complex text layout," as you can see in this image?: http://freeexp.files.wordpress.com/2008/04/ooo_options_dialog_2.png If you do, you will notice two new buttons are added in the formatting toolbar. To get the right result, you should format your text not only as right-aligned, but also as RTL-directioned (using the new RTL toolbar-button). I think there should be a localized template file for documents/presentations of every language. related bugs: * https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=47143 * https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/927931 There's no response from bug reporter and I can't reproduce (LibO 3.6.3). Closing for now, reopen of relevant in the future. |
Created attachment 55274 [details] office presentor screenshot with RTL bug While using RTL (Hebrew) version of office RTL text aligned to left instead right when first word of paragraph LTR and LTR word stay aligned right. to reproduce start office presenter as RTL like LANG=he_IL.UTF-8 libreoffice create new presentation (all menus will be in Hebrew) (קובץ-חדש-מצגת) follow wizard to create empty presentation which by default will be RTL on any slide click text area to edit type first word in any LTR language then continue to type at least 2 or more words in RTL language (Hebrew). LTR (English) will stay at right, but RTL (Hebrew) will jump to left and if there is a lot of words it will be out of page boundaries. See attached screenshot for garbled page. 1st line is a bug, second with RTL only is ok. Also it happens to any document created with MS office.
