Problem description: 

when opening a spreadsheet created with libexcel (https://github.com/devinsmith/libexcel), all formats are lost. The files created by the library works well with OpenOffice.org 3.1, Gnumeric, and MS Office 2007.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Compile libexcel & run test/example2.c
2. open the created example2.xls file

Current behavior:
no formats are shown in libreoffice.

Expected behavior:
the file should be correctly formatted.

Please, verify if in last version of LibreOffice still reproducible

The problem no longer exists in LibreOffice 3.5.4.
