It seems, your python function have to take one or more arguments passed by the broadcaster as follows.

Created attachment 57064 [details] Python macro added in the IDE From the IDE, in a dialog containing a button, it is possible to add a python macro in the 'execute action' event of the button (like a basic macro). Unfortunately the python macro is not called during the execution of the dialog.
