Description Mike Finch 2012-02-22 18:12:54 UTC
In versions 3.4.5 and 3.5.0 I can no longer print a spreadsheet sheet where a rectangle of cells is highlighted. I can still print a Writer document.

I've used both my Desktop and laptop with the same result.

Just tried to print in Windows on my laptop. Windows insists that I save the spreadsheet as an .xps file. Get stuffed Micro$oft!!

So I also can get nowhere using Windoze!

My assumption is that this is a bug in the linux version; had no problems before.

I use Mandriva 2010.2.

@Mike Finch
"I can't" is a very rare description ...

May be hints on <http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/BugReport> will help you to find out what information will be useful to reproduce your problem? If you believe that that is really sophisticated please as for Help on a user mailing list
Please:
- Write a meaningful Summary describing exactly what the problem is
- Attach a sample document (not only screenshot)
- Attach screenshots with comments if you believe that that might explain the
  problem better than a text comment. Best way is to insert your screenshots
  into a DRAW document and to add comments that explain what you want to show
- Contribute a step by step instruction containing every key press and every
  mouse click how to reproduce your problem (due to example in Bug 43431)
– if possible contribute an instruction how to create a sample document
  from the scratch
- add information
  -- what EXACTLY is unexpected
  -- and WHY do you believe it's unexpected (cite Help or Documentation!)
  -- concerning your PC
  -- concerning your  Language
  -- concerning your LibO localization (UI language, Locale setting)
  –- Libo settings that might be related to your problems
  -- how you launch LibO and how you opened the sample document
  -- everything else crossing your mind after you read linked texts

I profusely apologize for a furphy : testing with my sports clubs laptop showed that the file
printed OK.

The fault appears to be with my printer, Again, apologies.

Comment 3 Mike Finch 2012-05-15 18:46:51 UTC
Reporting on version 3.5.3 -- my printer is set at Portrait.
When I try to print highlighted cells in a calc spreadsheet, the system insists that my printer is set at landscape.
When I change (in the print dialogue) to portrait then the lefthand columns of the spreadsheet don't display or print.
Still using Mandriva 2010.2.

@Mike Finch:
Still nearby all of my questions are without answer. Please contribute requested info to all items in my comment 1! For a start: If I understand your comment 3 correctly, a useful summary might be:
'PRINTING Selection (cells) "Landscape" although "Portrait" is selected'?
