Description Nicolas Mailhot 2012-03-02 04:25:12 UTC
It is not possible to select a comment frame and copy and paste it in another cell where it also applies

Creating a new identical comment (including frame formatting) is very tedious

Thanks for bugreport
in 3.5.3 it works
Comment 2 bfoman (inactive) 2012-08-08 09:09:17 UTC
Confirmed with:
LO 3.5.5.3
Build ID: own W7 debug build
Windows 7 Professional SP1 64 bit

I could not find a way to copy and paste comment from one cell to another with content and formatting.

(In reply to comment #1)
> in 3.5.3 it works

How come?
Comment 3 sasha.libreoffice 2012-08-08 09:19:21 UTC
Just select not comment, but cell where comment placed, then copy-paste it.
If needed add comments to cells where content already exist, then use Ctrl-Shift-V for paste, remove there most checkboxes, enable "Skip empty cells".

Facepalm.

As per comment 3 - please copy the cell and then use Paste special>Comments.
Comment 5 Nicolas Mailhot 2012-08-19 08:33:24 UTC
This is a terrible UI, thez natural way to copy and paste is to select whatever is copied and not something else with a magic option. I'd qualify it as workaround at best
