How long does this thing have to be posted before someone looks at it?! I would think that the new inability to import tab-delimited txt files (unless they have a csv extension) would be worth some attention by someone involved in a spreadsheet software? On pc Debian x86-64 with 3.5 sources updated today, I don't reproduce this. (TXT/CSV is listed and I chose an txt file with tab separated values). Could you give a try to 3.5.5 ? Works now in 3.5.6.2 :-) We don't know if there has been a fix, we just know it works for you now ; so I update the status. |
Created attachment 58779 [details] video of selecting file type problem I have a tab-delimited text file, which I want to open in LibreOffice Calc. I - go to Open - move to the relevant directory - click on Filter in the OpenFile dialog to choose TXT/CSV and neither it is listed there nor can I choose any of the many file types because nearly the whole set of files gets chosen. See attached vid.
