Still is a problem with 3.6.3.2 release. Works in Open Office. I have a HP Inkjet 960C with a duplexer. No duplexer option or print quality options appear in the printer dialogs. This is really a problem for me as I need to be able to control these parameters. Printing with Adobe Acrobat has all the driver options. @cliff, I have a hp990cxi, Duplexer is recognized. What kind of OS ? me Ubuntu 12.04 - 64bits I am running on OSx 10.7.5. I have 3 different printer drivers. Other apps on the machine such as Adobe Acrobat bring up the normal printer dialog with all the options for duplexer, print quality etc. Open office also brings up the same dialogs, but LibreOffice has its own dialogs which leave out these important options. All that to say that LibreOffice is the only app that has an issue like this. The dialogs in LO look very similar to the preference pages. It's probably heresy to suggest this, but since LO came from OO maybe look at OO and figure out how they did the printer dialogs, at least for OSx. Is this being worked on? I ask because using LO 4.0 the printer dialogs for OSx do not allow choice of quality of print or duplexer using Printer Driver for HP 9800 or HP 960 Inkjets. This makes LO unuseable for the major work I do in LO. When we used the PS drivers everything magically worked for us If you can find them for your printer you might be in business Regards Mal (In reply to comment #5) > When we used the PS drivers everything magically worked for us > If you can find them for your printer you might be in business > > Regards > > Mal My understanding is that Gutenprint drivers are PS drivers. I have installed them with no joy. I don't believe that the drivers are the issue, all the other apps in OSx have all the options, even Open Office does, because its print dialog allows access to the driver settings. LibreOffice print dialog does not allow access to the print driver settings and does not provide those settings itself. Hi all, I'm closing this bug, since the original problem from mal is solved already. All others having similar issues with different printers please open separate bugs and we'll investigate. Thanks :) |
