I dist-upgraded my embedded HSQLDB from Ubuntu 11.04 in 2 steps to 12.04. Now my embedded HSQLDB is read-only. I can search in it though.

Cant reproduce on 3.5.3 on precise. Needs reproduction scenario => Closing WORKSFORME for now.
