Characters behind numbers are shown as text, if there's no whitespace in between and the number doesn't contain a comma. Otherwise they are shown as variables.

Try: 10.000x + (2x + 2 cdot x) + 1,5x

@Raving: Could you please test and see if this bug is persisting with the latest LO release: http://www.libreoffice.org/download/pre-releases/

If that is the case, please also specify in "Version" at the top, in which LO version this bug first appeared.

@ James: I wasn't able to install/run the pre-release on my Linux.
In 4.0.2.2 I can still reproduce the issue.
I can't remember a Version without this issue.

I can't reproduce this bug in Version: 4.2.3.3. So I think it's fixed. Thx
