Description 4032827486 2012-06-05 08:29:04 UTC
Problem description:

If I copy and paste from an external application (Toad in my case) into a worksheet that previously had data, cells that are NULL are not pasted properly. The cells previous values remain instead of being NULL.

The worksheet was originally a Microsoft Excel document.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Copy data from external application.
2. Select a cell in a worksheet. The worksheet already contains data.
3. Paste data (Ctrl-v)
4. Text import Wizard comes up. I confirm that NULL values are present.
  -Character Set Unicode
  -Language English(USA)
  -From row 1
  -Separated by Tab
5. Select OK.
6. Confirm that cells that should be NULL contain previous values.

do you know of any other software that this happens with? Perhaps something free that can easily be tested from any platform?

If not, can Toad export a cvs file that can be attached and results in the same thing?

Marking as NEEDINFO, if none of this is possible that's fine, reopen as UNCONFIRMED and I'll try to figure out some way to test it
