@reporter: Thank you for your report – unfortunately important information is missing. May be hints on <http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/BugReport> will help you to find out what information will be useful to reproduce your problem? If you believe that that is really sophisticated please as for Help on a user mailing list Please: - Write a meaningful Summary describing exactly what the problem is - Attach a sample document (not only screenshot) or refer to an existing sample document in an other Bug with a link. - Attach screenshots with comments if you believe that that might explain the problem better than a text comment. Best way is to insert your screenshots into a DRAW document and to add comments that explain what you want to show - Contribute a step by step instruction containing every key press and every mouse click how to reproduce your problem (due to example in Bug 43431). "use some feature still NOT available" is too rare. Not Available in .docx definition or with LibO? please describe exactly what's to do – if possible contribute an instruction how to create a sample document from the scratch - add information -- What document type you used. .docx MSO2007 or .dox OOXML? -- what EXACTLY is unexpected -- and WHY do you believe it's unexpected (cite Help or Documentation!) -- concerning your PC -- concerning your OS (Language) -- concerning your LibO version (with Build ID if it's not a public release) and localization (UI language, Locale setting) 3.4.4 is very old. did you also observe the problem with a current version? –- Libo settings that might be related to your problems -- how you launch LibO and how you opened the sample document –- If you can contribute an OOo Issue that might be useful -- everything else crossing your mind after you read linked texts Even if you can not provide all demanded information, every little new information might bring the breakthrough. Closing Bug due to reporter's inactivity as INVALID. @reporter: Please feel free to reopen this bug if you find out that the problem still exists with the current stable LibreOffice version and if you can contribute requested additional information due to <http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/BugReport> (especially BugReport Details)! |
Problem description: the document is saved in temp directory with the current format instead of saving always in the most complete format (odt, ods, ... ). Steps to reproduce: 1. Open a docx: you want to modify it and save as odt. 2. Modify the document and use some feature still NOT available in docx format (but available in odt). 3. The program crash: all the data not available in docx is lost. So auto save has done a partial backup. Current behavior: Auto save use the format of the document during backup Expected behavior: Auto save has to save your work, does not matter witch kind of file format you are using. Platform (if different from the browser): Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:13.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/13.0 Note: I suppose this is the same in the newest version of Libre Office.
