[Reproducible] with "LibreOffice 3.5.5.2. German UI/Locale [Build-ID: 24b32b4-b87ec2e-85c8e98-87a4e20-9a1b8c1] on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit), stops responding for a while, but finally opens document (with bad looking chart) More or less the same with LibO 3.3.3, AOOo 3.4, OOo 3.1.1, so inherited from OOo. GNUMERIC opens document quickly (also with bad looking chart) Works perfect with MS EXCEL Viewer. Document contains Macros, no idea whether that is related to the problem. Another problem with a document created with SoftMaker software (?) I doubt that many users are affected, so not MAB Please also see "Bug 51667 - FILEOPEN particular .xls from PlanMaker with CHART will CRASH " @Valek Filippov: Please contribute info concerning your OS! @Kohei, @Markus: Please set Status to ASSIGNED and add yourself to "Assigned To" if you accept this Bug I can confirm this with LO 4.1.1 on Windows 7 SP1: - Calc hangs opening the .xls and takes too many time, over 2 minutes on my machine - 3D Chart is unreadable, too bad rendering. Doesn't hang and opens in a couple of seconds on Win 7 64-bit 4.3.2.2 and dev build Version: 4.4.0.0.alpha1+ Build ID: ae218f4895082ea9fca8f414a332bcf47045ba8c TinderBox: Win-x86@39, Branch:master, Time: 2014-10-20_15:19:52 The rendering on 4.3.2.2 is bad and 4.4.0.0 alpha seems to have major problems with charts in general - it is not displayed at all.
