Works as intended. The style for Heading 1 in your document has outline level "Body text". There could be a problem in import or export filter, though. How did you get this document and from which format it was converted? Thanks for the tip. I changed the outline to "Level 1" and everything is back to normal. I must say though that the documentation (both the help file and the separate odt/pdf files downloadable from LO site) is not clear about the role of outline levels in Navigator display and other behaviors of LO; or even how to use in creating, or organizing a document. The original is a html file. It is help doc for AltSearch. http://extensions.libreoffice.org/extension-center/alternative-dialog-find-replace-for-writer This file opens in Writer (not a browser) if I invoke help in AltSearch. I am currently editing the help for the author. I don't remember how I converted it into odt. Most probably I selected everything with CTRL+A and copied it and pasted it in a new blank odt file. I experimented with the original html file, and exported it as odt. But this file does not have 1-5 Heading levels at all (it begins at level 6!) Could you please install this extension and check out its help file? Thanks! |
Created attachment 64194 [details] Sample that shows that headings don't appear in Nav panel and "Target in doc" window In 8+ years of my use of OOo and LO, I am seeing this weird effect for the first time: The Navigator Panel and "Target in document" window do not show the actual headings in a document. In fact, almost all Heading1 headings are not shown at all. The problematic document is attached.
