Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (6.1, Build 7600), 16G RAM Hi, Please look at : bug 33853 and bug 52638 to see whether your report might be a duplicate of the symptoms described there. I think possibly that it is and would be inclined to set your report as a duplicate. Alex Neither of those bugs are the same. (33853, 52638) My loss of graphics is when using "Save" and is related to the size of the saved file. - I have saved individual chapters (file size from 300K to 2.5M) and the graphics in those chapters remain correct, while the master .odt document (file size 14M+) suddenly and randomly loses the same graphics but retains the frame and caption of each graphic. Unfortunately we need a sample document for this. We can't reasonably "create a large document consisting of 100+ pages" :) Marking as NEEDINFO. Please provide some sample document and we'll follow the steps you provided. Once document is uploaded please mark as UNCOMFIRMED Dear Bug Submitter, This bug has been in NEEDINFO status with no change for at least 6 months. Please provide the requested information as soon as possible and mark the bug as UNCONFIRMED. Due to regular bug tracker maintenance, if the bug is still in NEEDINFO status with no change in 30 days the QA team will close the bug as INVALID due to lack of needed information. For more information about our NEEDINFO policy please read the wiki located here: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/FDO/NEEDINFO If you have already provided the requested information, please mark the bug as UNCONFIRMED so that the QA team knows that the bug is ready to be confirmed. Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! Warm Regards, QA Team Dear Bug Submitter, Please read this message in its entirety before proceeding. Your bug report is being closed as INVALID due to inactivity and a lack of information which is needed in order to accurately reproduce and confirm the problem. We encourage you to retest your bug against the latest release. If the issue is still present in the latest stable release, we need the following information (please ignore any that you've already provided): a) Provide details of your system including your operating system and the latest version of LibreOffice that you have confirmed the bug to be present b) Provide easy to reproduce steps – the simpler the better c) Provide any test case(s) which will help us confirm the problem d) Provide screenshots of the problem if you think it might help e) Read all comments and provide any requested information Once all of this is done, please set the bug back to UNCONFIRMED and we will attempt to reproduce the issue. Please do not: a) respond via email b) update the version field in the bug or any of the other details on the top section of FDO |
Created attachment 65855 [details] After and Before screenshot of one of several pages showing what happens. Problem description: Some inserted graphics are randomly lost in a large document leaving just a frame which appears together with the caption for the particular graphic. However most of the graphics in the document remain correct in the document. Please note: Originally I was using very large images (upwards of 30 to 40M each) but when I started losing images I correlated the lost images to perhaps being on an internal stack in L-Office and that I was losing them on a "First in - first out" basis. (Perhaps: I have not looked at the L-Office code). So I went through all 100+ images and reduced them in size to 50 to 200K. This appeared to buy me some time, but here I am one month later having added more text and more graphics and some of the graphics are disappearing again. Steps to reproduce: 1. Create a large document. (113 pages, 46,000 words) 2. Insert graphics (mostly .jpg images) (approximately 100 graphics each from 50K to 200K in size). 3. Add captions to all images. 4. Add optimal page wrap on most (but not all images). 5. Increase Frame/Wrap/Spacing/Bottom (or side) from 0.00 to 0.10 6. Continue editing document over several weeks adding or changing text and adding more images. (Document size now 17M+) Current behavior: All the graphics in one chapter have disappeared leaving just the frames. (chapter is just 10 pages in middle of whole document - no particular formating applied to indivuidual chapters) Expected behavior: The graphics should remain. Platform (if different from the browser): Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (6.1, Build 7600) Browser: Firefox/14.0.1
