There is proper Title of Bug: "Content in Header and Footer of Document is replaced with Content in Template". This Bug prevents to use one Template with Header and Footer for Documents where text in Header and Footer differs from text in Template. Thanks for bugreport Described behaviour is intended behaviour of Writer. So should be. It is not a bug. (I was not very happy when discovered this.) Workaround: when changing template, save it under another name, then set this new template as default template Reproduced un Libo 4.0 Version 4.0.0.0.beta1 (Build ID: 87906242e87d3ddb2ba9827818f2d1416d80cc7) but as Shasa said, is it a bug ? if not, perhaps change status ? Yves I can confirm on platform XP SP3, but it is a normal behavior if page style et replace are pointed reload styles. |
Created attachment 68560 [details] Template to test Problem description: Footer has some text and page number and page count fields. During update of styles from template that "some" text disappears. Steps to reproduce: 1. Install attached template; 2. Open attached test document, notice some long text in footer' 3. Open template to edit 4. In template press space then save template; 5. In test document choose "Reload"; 6. Twice confirm to update styles 7. Look at footer - that "some long"text is gone, only remains page number, text between and page count as in template. Current behavior: Text disappears Expected behavior: Text must stay Platform (if different from the browser): Using Kubuntu 12.04 updated to latest, libreoffice (Version 3.6.0.2 (Build ID: 360m1(Build:102)) installed from ppa. Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:16.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/16.0
