Seems similar to bug 45911.

Thank you for reporting this bug.

I can't reproduce the problem however. With both 3.6.0.1 and 4.0.0-Master on Ubuntu 12.04 x86_64 it works for me. Can more people try?

Not reproducible for me with "LibreOffice 3.5.6.2 English UI/ German Locale" and any other Version, so WFM fo now (although I think it's INVALID, see below!)

@bugquestcontri@online.de:
Thank you for your attention! Unfortunately your description is much to imprecise, for example there is not possibility to paste something before you did a *Copy*. Such details are very important!

I reproduced such crash for Copy-Drag&Drop in "Bug 59731 - CRASH when close file after drag & drop slide from other document's Slides Pane" also with Server installation (own profile) "LibreOffice 3.5.6.2 English UI/ German Locale [Build-ID: e0fbe70-5879838-a0745b0-0cd1158-638b327] on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit). But as I say, not with copy/paste, but Copy-Drag&Drop

Thanks for looking into this matter. I repeated the procedure again but in
Version 3.6.4.3 (Build ID: 2ef5aff), US English, XP/SP3 english on Japanese keyboard PC.

Several times repeated with various number of slides: NO CRASH

Previous version of LibO is not installed anymore.

I have a similar problem: dragging and dropping 1+ slides from one slideshow to another freezes the whole system (Linux Mint 15 64bit KDE). I think this is related to:

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=67011
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=68281

One additional complication: copy/paste sometimes works (drag/drop never does) but what happens is that the master page for some slides unpredictably changes. Instead of the white background my overall master page has, some slides get a lighblue blackground, which is exactly the lightblue that is used to indicate selected slides. So then afterwards I have to click on each slide and change its master page back to the original one. Very weird ...

I made plenty of copy&paste actions from one presentation into various other ones and did not experience the problem anymore. Thanks for the bug fix.

Since we don’t have a specific commit fixing this problem WORKSFORME is the correct state.
