Description Parrenin 2012-10-29 16:17:44 UTC
Steps to reproduce:
- open a new text document and type a few words
- import an image
- add a legend
- make a reference to the figure, using 'category and number'
=> the number is displayed but not the category
This is a regression, since this feature worked fine in previous version of LO (the version shipped with ubuntu 12.04)
Comment 1 Jean-Baptiste Faure 2012-11-04 15:53:47 UTC
I do not reproduce with current version LO 3.6.3 under Ubuntu 12.04 x86_64.

Best regards. JBF
Comment 2 A (Andy) 2012-12-24 15:46:24 UTC
not normative reproducible with LO 3.6.4.3. (Win7 Home, 64bit), only under very specific circumstances

reproduced by the following steps:
1. Open WRITER with English language setting
2. Write any text (e.g. "Test") and press the Enter Key
3. Insert any image (e.g. from a file)
4. Right mouse click on the image and select CAPTION
5. Write any text in the field CAPTION (e.g. "Image") and now the caption is shown below the image
6. Save this file and switch to German language settings of LO (TOOLS -> OPTIONS -> LANGUAGE SETTINGS -> LANGUAGE = German)
7. Open WRITER with German settings
8. Put the cursor before the entered text from step 2
9. Select QUERVERWEIS (CROSS-REFERENCE) from the menu EINFÜGEN (INSERT), go to the tab QUERVERWEISE (CROSS-REFERENCES) and select the type ABBILDUNG (ILLUSTRATION) and select KATEGORIE UND NUMMER (CATEGORY AND NUMBER) and choose the inserted image and press INSERT
10. The number is shown, but not the category, in addition in the German version the caption below the image is still named as "Illustration" instead of "Abbildung"
But I am not sure if this is a bug.

This also affects me in the same way. Linux, x86_64 (64 bits), Libreoffice 4.0.2.2 (ID 400m0(Build:2)). However, the category is not lost for figures, but tables.
Comment 4 bfoman (inactive) 2013-05-13 11:47:45 UTC
RESOLVED WORKSFORME per comment 1 and comment 2 (first part; IMHO this special l10n testcase should be filed as a separate issue).

@sfqacipl@sharklasers.com: please file your table problem as a separate report

Do not hesitate to reopen in case of mistriage.
