Try to search on a figure (in my case: "10" (without quotes) but Writer at least can't find that while it is certainly there (several instances).

Could you please give more information about the different single steps to reproduce this issue and/or attach a sample file.
Does this issue still persist for you with the latest release of LibreOffice?

Closing a PowerPC-specific bug. Please reopen if it can be reproduced on Intel hardware too.
