The RTF file that locks up Writer

The attached RTF file causes Writer to get stuck in 100% cpu usage during opening, requiring a hard kill.

I'm running Fedora 16, with Writer package libreoffice-writer-3.4.6.2-1.fc16.x86_64

The file opens in AbiWord without a lockup (but it looks misformatted), and it successfully opens in Microsoft's Wordpad, where it looks to be correct.

My friend received this file as part of an economics course in 2010 and it failed to open in the same manner with OpenOffice. I submitted this bug to their tracker, it did not get fixed, but they did some triage on it:

Freeze is [Reproducible] with Server Installation of "LibreOffice 3.4.5 German UI [Build ID: OOO340m1 (Build:502)]" parallel Server installation on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit); LibO stops responding.

But no problem with "LibreOffice 3.5.7.2 rc German UI/Locale [Build-ID: 3215f89-f603614-ab984f2-7348103-1225a5b] on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit)
and
LibO 3.6.4.1. so WFM

@reporter:
Please feel free to reopen this bug if you find out that the problem still exists with the current stable LibreOffice version for your Operating System.
