Note: This also fails in the SUSE provided RPM. Before upgrading to 3.6.3 it worked. If you need more info let me know. It is minor inconvince but should be fixed as alot of people in US use xx-xx-xxxx. I am pretty sure that this is a user error, incorrect / missing date recognition pattern. So INVALID for now. @reporter: We now have individual Date recognition patterns what have been improved during 3.6 history, you did not mention anything concerning your settings in menu 'Tools -> Options -> Language Settings -> Languages - Date recognition pattern', and so I am pretty sure that you missed that change. You can get assistance on <http://ask.libreoffice.org/questions/> or on the public users mailing list <users@libreoffice.org>, a mailing list from <http://www.documentfoundation.org/contribution/#lists> or <http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Local_Mailing_Lists> Please feel free to reopen this Bug if discussion with other users leaded to an assessment that we have a LibO bug and a clear and comprehensible description of the problem due to <http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/BugReport>. If you want to reopen this Bug please: - Write a meaningful Summary describing exactly what the problem is - Attach a sample document (not only screenshot) or refer to an existing sample document in an other Bug with a link; to attach a file to this bug report, just click on "Add an attachment" right on this page. - Attach screenshots with comments if you believe that that might explain the problem better than a text comment. Best way is to insert your screenshots into a DRAW document and to add comments that explain what you want to show (attachment 68877 [details], attachment 68490 [details]) - Contribute a document related step by step instruction containing every key press and every mouse click how to reproduce your problem (similar to example in Bug 43431) – if possible contribute an instruction how to create a sample document from the scratch - add information -- concerning your OS (Version, Distribution, Language) -- concerning your LibO version (with Build ID if it's not a public release) and localization (UI language, Locale setting) –- Libo settings that might be related to your problems -- everything else crossing your mind after you read linked texts I just checked Tools-->options-->Language Settings-->Languages-->Date Recognition . You are right had to ad M-D, only two apparent for default are M/D/Y and M/D I added M-D and it works now. I must have missed that setting since I never change the Language setting. Can we add M-D as a default sometime? @Russ Fineman default settings are Localization related, so we need a suggestion to what localizations this should be added by default. New feature!
