Description Johan Thelander 2012-12-02 21:31:44 UTC
The program crashes when right-clicking any text in the text editor. Doesn't seem to matter if there are any strange characters, several words, long/short words. Every time I happen to forget and right click a word or selected part of a text, the program crashes.

We need more information here:
- Did you install any LO specific extensions?
- What's your MacOs version?
- What's your Java version?
- Do you reproduce this on a brand new file?
- Do you reproduce this after having renamed your LO directory profile? (see http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile)

If you still reproduce the crash, could you retrieve extra information by following this link?

1. I have no extensions installed, however I have installed a translated user interface: LibO_3.6.3_MacOS_x86_langpack_sv.
2. I am running Mac OS X Version 10.7.5.
3. I have Java version: 1.6.0_37 (Build 110613)
4. Yes, the problem occur on both new and old files.
5. Yes, I reset my user profile and the problem is still there, but it doesn't happen all the time now. I have been playing around a bit to see if I can find any patterns, but with no luck.

I attach some debug information. Thanks!

Johan: thank you for your feedback.
According to the bt, it seems a problem on hunspell part,
so:
- could you disable hunspell and give it a try? (BTW, could you check the hunspell version? normally, 1.3.2)
- could you also try without LibO_3.6.3_MacOS_x86_langpack_sv?

Hi Julien!
- I played around a bit with the Hunspell and the problem seems to be with the language module: OpenOffice.org New Thesaurus. If I un-tick that module it seems to work. (I think I am running Hunspell 1.3.2, but I can't find where to see the version for sure...)
- I tried without LibO_3.6.3_MacOS_x86_langpack_sv, but the same thing happens – if OpenOffice.org New Thesaurus module is on the problem is there.

Thanks for all your work!

Rainer: Would you have some time about this? I don't know if one should ask for core devs help right now or should someone else confirm.
Comment 7 Johannes Löthberg 2013-01-17 19:13:49 UTC
I can confirm that the issue also exists on (at least) Arch Linux 32bit, LO version 3.6.4.3, and that it stops crashing when disabling OpenOffice.org New Thesaurus

NEW as confirmed in comment 7. Changed Summary, Platform.
Comment 9 Julien Nabet 2014-06-21 18:48:06 UTC
Johan: do you still reproduce this with a recent LO version (last stable one is 4.2.5)? I don't think there should be any OpenOffice extension by now.

Hi Julien!
I haven't had any problems with this in the recent LO versions, neither on Mac OS X Version 10.9.3, nor on Ubuntu 12.04. :)
I still have the language module: OpenOffice.org New Thesaurus installed on 4.2.5 (at least on my mac), but no problem is reproduced. Thanks!

Thank you for your quick feedback! :-)

Let's put this as WFM.
