Sounds like a question for the Ask site: http://ask.libreoffice.org/ In any case, our docs seem to say it's straightforward: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Installing_in_parallel#MinGW_Version "The compressed MinGW builds simply have to be decompressed, then they can be used by a double-click on soffice.exe in the program folder, similar to a Portable Version." What specific error do you get when you try to run two MinGW builds at the same time? @Qubit: I suspect that 'MinGW' here is a mistake (I don't think there is any MinGW build), and the reporter really means the ordinary msi installer. And yes, RC versions have release configuration, and will replace any older installed version. The solution is to install with '/a' switch as described at https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Installing_in_parallel#Version_3.5.x_and_newer: I'm closing this bug as NOTABUG. Feel free to reopen if you disagree. |
Problem description: I am trying to compare (or I forget and lost old way and try find analog in new one) old 3.6 and new 4.0 (RC) version, but I can't run them at ones. I should switch between them - it's not useful at all. Steps to reproduce: 1. Run old/new LO 2. Try run opposite It would be good for beta be running with final and stable versions in one time.
