Problem description: a blinking hourglass is seen during presentation in lower left corner

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a new presentation (preferably with dark background)
2. Start slideshow
3. Watch lower left corner of slide during animation or transition

Current behavior: a blinking hourglass is seen during animation or transition

Expected behavior: nothing should show up except what is intended for slideshow.

This is to confirm that bug #45649 persist through version 4.0.0.3 release.
