I can't confirm this behavior using Linux Mint 14 x64 and LibreOffice 4.0.0.3 rc3.

Kind regards,
Joren

I think I know why I didn't reproduce this one on my first try.

When you 'File > Save As Template' you need to select a folder in the 'Documents' tab ('My Templates', 'MediaWiki' are default folders). When you don't select a folder and click on 'Save' you'll get an error:

Select the destination folder(s) to save the template.

But When you select a folder, a window will pop up to ask for a template name.

Does this resolve your issue? Following your screenshot I can't see any folders in tab 'Documents', is that correct?

Kind regards,
Joren

Did you try changing the tabs at the top? They are filtering the content of the view... and empty folders aren't shown in that case.

This problem has been fixed in 4.0.1 where the tabs have been removed for saving templates (and thus you will see all the folders even the empty ones).
