Version 3.6.5.2 (Build ID: 5b93205)(In reply to comment #0) > I created a document with LibreOffice 3.6.4 using Garamond Premier Pro as > the default font. Where did you get that font (Garamond Premier Pro)? As far I can see this isn't a default font included in LibreOffice. (Garamond is, not the premier pro version). Because of that, it is maybe not a problem of LibreOffice. Kind regards, Joren (In reply to comment #1) > Version 3.6.5.2 (Build ID: 5b93205)(In reply to comment #0) > > I created a document with LibreOffice 3.6.4 using Garamond Premier Pro as > > the default font. > > Where did you get that font (Garamond Premier Pro)? As far I can see this > isn't a default font included in LibreOffice. (Garamond is, not the premier > pro version). Sorry, I don't recall where I got the font from. It probably was included with some Adobe software. But as far as I see, the problem (at least the font naming problem) also exists with the free TeX Gyre Fonts, available from http://tug.org/mactex/. For instance, "TeX Gyre Pagella" is only accessible as "TeXGyrePagella" from LibreOffice 4.0.1. Actually, now LibreOffice 3.6.5.2 lists both naming variants (maybe because LO 4.0.1 changed the font cache?). LO 4.0.1 still only lists the shortened name. > Because of that, it is maybe not a problem of LibreOffice. I am sure the problem is within LibreOffice 4.0.1. The font name (as displayed by LibreOffice) is different, depending whether I use LibreOffice 3.6.4 or 4.0.1. The font file itself contains both string variants, but "Garamond Premier Pro" is the font name as displayed by the OS X font book and font panel. In any case, the affected fonts are all OTF fonts. Cheers Burkhard. Sorry, I had to do a bit of "magic" to go back to the UNCONFIRMED state for this bug. I really can't reproduce this behavior with the default installed LO fonts... so therefore I can't set this to new. I hope someone else, with more knowledge of fonts can have a look. Kind regards, Joren Could you attach some screenshots of both LibreOffice versions and a screenshot from the system font manager to compare? Created attachment 78152 [details]

Unlike the Garamond font, the TeX Gyre font names in LO 3.6.5.2 that contain spaces continue to work in LO 4.0.1. Maybe it is the abbreviated font name which causes the problems. Seems that the bug has been fixed in LO 4.0.2.2. Cheers Burkhard. |
