Description Lionel Elie Mamane 2013-03-19 10:51:18 UTC
Reproduced in:
 - LibreOffice 3.6.3.2 official amd64 deb packages
 - my libreoffice-3-6 development build
 - my libreoffice-4-0 development build

+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #61297 +++

1) Open a Writer document.
2) If it is not yet in Web layout, menu View / (Print|Web) Layout.
3) Menu File / Print
4) Observe: the document switches to print layout
5) Print or cancel

Observed behaviour: the document stays in print layout.

Expected behaviour: revert to web layout.

Automatically switching to print layout to print makes sense, but printing should not have any side-effect on the document itself. After print, the document should be unchanged compared to before print. That is not the case here. After print (or cancel print) the layout should revert to what it was.

While this can be considered a minor inconvenience for a plain Writer document, it is more annoying when the document is Base Form (see bug 61297).

I think this might be a duplicate of Bug 45393, except it seems to be not only with Web documents, but with any document in a different view. After selecting "Print", the view of the document is changed to Print Layout, and not just temporarily.
