For LibreOffice Calc, Linux only (Windows works fine).

Replicate bug:

1. Enter any number into a empty cell.
2. Select that cell
3. Copy (CTRL-C)
4. Select a number of multiple cells
5. Paste contents (CTRL-V)
6. Pasting fails

This should take the number entered (from the buffer) and paste it into the multiple selected cells. 

This behavior work in Excel and works in 3.4x or 3.5x version of Windows or with the 4.x version on Windows.  Tested on Windows 7.

I cannot confirm this with Version 4.0.1.2 (Build ID: 84102822e3d61eb989ddd325abf1ac077904985), nor with 4.0 master build from last week nor with 4.1 master build from last week.


Marking as WORKSFORME, please retest with 4.0.2.2 release, if you still see the problem mark as UNCONFIRMED (you might have to set as REOPENED then UNCONFIRMED), and I'll get another QA member to take a look.

Tested 4.0.2.2.  Reinstalled LibreOffice suite.  Bug still exists.

Moving bug to status resolved.

I found the bug.  I'm using Kubuntu-12.04 and the use of Klipper is causing the erratic behavior on the copy/cut and paste operations in LibreOffice.

I stopped Klipper and LibreOffice works fine.

There is a known KDE bug where the Klipper clipboard application
interferese with LibreOffice calc.

Oddly enough  xclipboard(1)  does not seem to cause interference.
