Description Jiero 2013-04-08 14:01:01 UTC
I origianlly asked the question in ask.libreoffice.org

http://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/15808/libreoffice-pretty-lag-under-chineselinux-2/

And then I found the first problem occurred mostly with use of MicroSoft Fonts - Times New Roman, Arial etc. So failed to reproduce on my Desktop since it not contain MS fonts.

Interface act much slower in Ubuntu/Mint than under Windows
Windows 7 run LibreOffice and the menu drop much faster, comparing with sluggish menu under Linux Mint 14. While firefox is generally faster under Mint.
A 8 years old Celeron PC run Windows XP experinced less laggy menu than that of Intel i5 2nd gen run Linux Mint 14.

Any help will be appreciated.

Please provide more information here. What fonts, what does it mean "experienced less laggy menu" (what menu), how can we reproduce your setup to see this laggy behavior? Did you see this problem with version 3.6?

Marking as NEEDINFO, once you provide all the information that you think it useful, mark as UNCONFIRMED and we'll take a look at it.

Thanks for your understanding and help in reporting issues
