The problem is that other spreadsheet tools (Excel and/or others) might be using a different way to show the xls file.
Some settings that seem to be involved in those cells that are seen differently are:
_ font size;
_ wrap text;
_ merged cells;
_ perhaps screen resolution;
_ zoom.
For example, if I open the xls file included in attachment #77744 [details] in Calc and I change the zoom to %110, I can see the same as shown in "ms.png" (included in the same attachment).
So, it doesn't seem a matter of different cell format or having to edit them, but rather how it is initially displayed.
Perhaps Calc is not considering the correct (saved?) "zoom" value in some particular xls files that were created by other spreadsheet tools (like Excel)?
Regards,
Ady.
NoRepro:4.2.0.1:OSX file looks identical to when opening with Excel 2010. So WORKSFORME. Is this bug still valid / reproducible with the latest pre-release 4.2.0.1: http://www.libreoffice.org/download/pre-releases/ Should this be still reproducible for you with the latest LO release please set this bug back to UNCONFIRMED. |
