Calc works very slow and hans up (and rest of LibreOffice windows as well) while copy and paste several numbers into cells one after one from Writer or other sources (like web browser) using keyboard.

1. Selecting a number from Writer or web browser using mouse or keyboard;
2. Ctrl+C;
3. Switching into Calc (Alt+Tab);
4. Selecting cell (using keyboard);
5. Ctrl+V;

After few sequences of such work (usually about 10 times) LibreOffice hangs up. Sometimes I can save document while I'm closing MS Windows - LibreOffice asks about saving spreadsheet. It happens for many months under several versions of LibreOffice. Sometimes I can't do this with Calc, because everything is so slow and I have to switch into MS Excell and finish my work without any problems (doing exactly the same). While doing the same under MS Excel 2000 (SP-3) everything is fast and fine.
I did try reinstalling, removing user profile, updating LibreOffice, removing temporary files. No success :(

LibreOffice: 4.0.2.2 Polish (and prevoius versions as well);
System: MS Windows XP Pro Polish;
Hardware: Lenovo X300; 2GB RAM; Intel L7100 @ 1.20GHz

Hi krecony, thanks for reporting.

Have you tried to reset the user profile?.

Sometimes solve strange issues.

Yes, I did it twice. Reseting the user profile did not help me.

Which are your settings in Menu/Tools/Options/LibreOffice/Memory?
Have you some clipboard application running?
Can you let know a web link, where you copy from having the issue?

I did change memory settings just an hour before, because I was unable to enter simply calculations in calc nor draw pictures because everything were so slow. I have had to wait a second or so for reaction for every mouse click or keyboard input. There are now quite similar to bugs.freedesktop.org solution I've found today:

number of steps: 30
cache: 256 MB
per object: 16 MB
remove after: 10 minutes
number of objects: 32

I did change format of my current spreadsheet file into MS Excel 97 XLS and gave up an ODS format to be able to work in MS Excel 2000. I've just finish my work using MS Excel 200 without any problems.

It doesn't matter what is the source of copy/paste data. There are simply numbers from web pages, Calc spreadsheets or Writer documents. I don't use any special memory/clipboard applications.

Changes made in memory settings seems to help. I'll report if there will be such copy/paste problems again.

Hi krecony, thanks for your work.

I think we can close the bug for now, if you have again the issue, please reopen it.
