The program seam to be fine but it lacks an important part that aids writer, a grammatical check.

Dear HM7, thank you for the bug entry. 

LibreOffice has an inbuilt grammar checker for 4 languages (English, Russian, Hungarian and Brazilian Portuguese)

For other lanugaes there are extensions: e.g. Languagetool for 29 languages (level of language support varies), Grammalecte for French, CoGroo for Brazilian Portuguese, Duden Korrektor (commercial) for German.
