(In reply to comment #0) > When a simple search is launched in Writer, on a French text, with ctrl/F > control, and the search word has an apostrophe, the word is not found. > "l'ami" is not found, "ami" is found. The c cedilla have the same effect Not reproductible with LibO 4.0.5.2 on Win7. However I suspect that the file dealed with the notion of "whole word" : - Searching (Ctrl-F) "l'ami" founds "l'ami" or "l'amicale" but not "ami" or "amicale" ; there is no possible consideration of "Whole Word Only" with Ctrl-F, - Searching (Ctrl-F) "ami" founds "ami", "l'ami", "amicale" or "l'amicale" - Searching-Replacing (Ctrl-H) "l'ami" founds "l'ami" or "l'amicale" but not "ami" or "amicale" ; the "Whole Word Only" checkbox is logically greyed due to the "'", - but impossible to check "Whole Word Only" even when searching "ami" or "soupçon" ; in fact, the checkbox is always greyed. I suppose I miss some setting to make it working in LibO FR... Or BUG ??? Replayed the test some days later : I now can check the "whole word only"... I certainly miss something, but what ? New investigation with LibO 4.2.0.0 béta2 on Win7. Something is still questionnable with "whole word only" : is it possible now to search multiples whole words (i.e., to tick "whole word only" along with a search string containing word break characters) ? I have re-tested with the same file, with words "ça", "l'ami" and others words with cedilla or apostrophe. The words are not found. But, in the past, I have met problems with others larges files with OpenOffice. And the file that I use for test is a large file (860 pages) and it has experienced several version of Open Office and Libre Office during his composition. I used several file make with Open Office or Libre Office, search the word with ctrl/F and ctrl/H, and they were found. I think my large file is broken, although it's open normaly with no error message. I think is not a bug. Maybe the charset is wrong, specialy for the accentuated caractères. |
