So, investigating another mailmerge bug with extended characters in filenames, I came across the following bug, which seems reminiscent of fdo#41295 :

On my master build 4.2 on OSX 10.8.4, when I send a mailmerge document as a PDF attachment using the mailmerge wizard, the PDF documents when opened by their recipients show a completely blank document.

works for me with a self-build as of today on mac with an address book with just one entry. Is this still broken for you with a build after 06f22f5ae0eafe094b280f03c770eebdbb33d403 (fdo#55411 fix) and if it is then can you attach the source doc, the blank .pdf output and how many email addresses you are sending to with the wizard
