Description MandiATO 2013-06-14 10:44:45 UTC
During printing from WIndows systems and LibreOffice 4.0.x family, when in printing dialogs two sided printing is selected, this setting looks like is ignored by LobOffice, because all documents are printed as single sided, with that difference that paper cycles throught printer two Times, but without printout on second side, second side comes out on second paper sheet. It looks like something goes wrong with printing subsystem, and it adds additional pagefeed to printout after each page when 2 sided printing is selected.

Hello,

I was able to print double sided without any bugs. I have changed the status to Resolved --> Worksforme. If this is still a bug for you please change status back to unconfirmed and provide more details if necessary. If tested using:

Windows 8
Version 4.0.3.3 (Build ID: 0eaa50a932c8f2199a615e1eb30f7ac74279539)
Printer: Brother HL-2270DW

I will try to investigate it further, because this hapens on many machines in my work, and only with specific printers (right now most signals comes from Xerox 440 machine). On my Xerox 7425 2 sided printing works ok. So it definitelly need more investigation, because all of that starts with changing LibO in our environment from 3.6.x to 4.0.x branch. All others programs prints ok on problematic machines (MS Word AcrobatReader) only LibO 4.x causes troubles with that. All further infows will shows up here.

After some findings, the same happened under Linux too, but switching print procesor to PS instead of PDF cures situation. But this is not possible under Windows in printer driver, there's no option to switch that preprocesor, and on many printers at our work this bug occurs only on LibO, all other programs prints OK on 2 sides of sheet of paper.

Does this bug persist with LO 4.2.2? Please test that and report back.

Setting to NEEDINFO. Should it persist please back to UNCONFIRMED.

Checked today couple of times, and I finally found root of that problems, all that was caused by broken drivers for Xerox 440 ST (certified one for PS support), newer ones unsigned and without certificate works as they should. So this error was caused by faulty drivers. Now my problem is solved. And I'm sorry that it takes for me so long to figure that out, it was solved today whem installing other software caused Xerox 440 ST drivers crashing instantly during selecting paper size. Earlier it looked like LO fault, but now all problems are solved in that matter.
