personally I neved had trouble to figure out which button the dropdown triangle belongs to since it's always located on the right side of the corresponding toolbar button. I add Kendy to CC list to hear if he thinks this report deserve a fix or not. I personally think that it is now with LO 4.3.2.2 (Win 8.1) not confusing to which icon the arrow button belongs because of the frame around. Therefore, I personally would not assume it as a bug, especially because in LO 4.3.2.2 the contrast is much better than in the attached screenshot. That's why, I would say it was improved in the meantime and would propose to close this bug. I agree. RESOLVED WORKSFORME |
Created attachment 80902 [details] An image with screenshots of the buttons. Buttons which contains a dropdown attachment has this little narrow button with a triangle. The arrow is located in the middle between the two and it can be harder to know which button it belongs to. In graphics design there is this "rule of proximity". The current setup breaks this rule. My solution would be to poke the little triangle a little bit to the left. Perhaps a 25% margin to the left and a 75% margin to the right would do it. It is important that it scales as the buttons become larger.
